Create YOUR Art

For the creatives out there -

Don't be afraid to put your art out there. Whether you are just starting for the first time, or you are a long established artist, it's good to be remireminded of.

Unfortunately the world around us wants to fit us into a mould, people want to label us and tell us who we are, what we do, and what is good. But we are all so different, beautifully diverse, we can't be stuffed into one category. Just because everyone around you is doing beach scenes doesn't mean you have to do beach scenes. Just because the majority of people in your town are Texan cattle farmers doesn't mean you have to create rustic farm themed art.

Create what you love, what speaks to you. Put your voice, your message out there and don't worry about the naysayers. You are not alone, you're not the only single person on this vast planet that has an interest in the things you create. As long as you put yourself out there, showing your art to the world, then your people will find you. Likeminded people will connect with you are your art.

Always be open to advice, apply it where and when necessary, but never compromise your values and motivations. Be true to your story, create from the heart.
